Welcome, I’m Jeanne.

I started Therapeutic Balance Counseling Services to help people find greater balance, purpose, and fulfillment in their lives. I believe therapy should feel personal and supportive, not one-size-fits-all. I tailor my approach to fit your unique story and goals. Together, we’ll make sense of your experiences, build on your strengths, and find new ways to move forward with clarity and confidence.

As a former Division I athlete and All-American triathlete, I understand firsthand the challenges of balancing high-level performance with the demands of daily life. I work with current and former athletes navigating stress, performance pressure, identity changes, injuries, and the transitions that come with life beyond sport.

I also have extensive experience supporting adolescents and adults through meaningful change. I help teens build self-esteem, manage academic and social pressures, and strengthen their sense of identity, while also supporting parents and caregivers in improving communication and connection at home. With adults, I provide a space to process trauma, work through periods of change, and address challenges related to relationships, family dynamics, and chronic stress.

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Saint Joseph and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of Connecticut. I bring a well-rounded and diverse clinical background to my work, having provided care to children, adolescents, and adults across a broad range of settings. My experience spans inpatient and outpatient levels of care, including intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization programs (PHP), emergency services, residential treatment, and community-based outpatient services. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as a clinical supervisor, supporting and guiding fellow clinicians in their professional growth. My multifaceted background informs my compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered approach to therapy.

Outside of work, I enjoy time with friends, family, and my two cats. I love staying active through running, hiking, kayaking, and swimming, and I have a soft spot for baking—especially sourdough bread. I’m also a foodie, a bit of a “retail therapy” enthusiast, and a secret bass guitar player.
