At this time, I only offer virtual sessions, providing secure and convenient care from the comfort of your home. If you have any questions or concerns about virtual sessions, I’d be happy to discuss them with you.

Therapy can support you through a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, life transitions, low self-esteem, communication difficulties, building boundaries, and more. I work with individuals who are ready to explore their thoughts and emotions, navigate difficult situations, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves to create meaningful change in their lives.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, having difficulty managing daily life, or facing dissatisfaction in your personal or relationship life, therapy can be a helpful resource. Seeking help is a courageous step toward addressing challenges and fostering positive change. Therapy provides a safe space to explore your thoughts and emotions, gain clarity, and develop strategies to move forward.
-
During your first session, we’ll take time to discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any questions or concerns you may have. We’ll explore your needs and preferences, while I provide an overview of the therapy process. My goal is to ensure you feel comfortable, supported, and confident as we start creating a personalized plan for your journey toward healing and growth.
-
The length of therapy varies for each person and is influenced by many factors, including your presenting concerns, your goals, scheduling needs, and progress over time. Rather than a fixed timeline, therapy is an ongoing conversation between you and your therapist to ensure the support you receive matches your evolving needs.
-
Yes, confidentiality is a core aspect of therapy. I am legally required to keep everything we discuss private, with a few exceptions, such as if there is an imminent risk of harm to yourself or others. We’ll review confidentiality in more detail during our first session, and you’ll also receive information about the limits of confidentiality in your initial paperwork.
-
When you schedule a free consultation call, you’ll have the chance to share what brings you to therapy and what goals you’d like to work on. I’ll also explain my approach so you can better understand what the therapeutic process with me may look like. Together, we’ll decide if it feels like a good fit. If it’s not the right match or timing, I’ll do my best to provide referrals to other therapists who may better meet your needs. If it does feel like a good fit, we’ll go ahead and schedule your intake session.

My therapeutic approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, strength-based, and integrative, meaning I tailor our work together to meet your unique needs, goals, and life experiences. I draw from a variety of evidence-based practices, including:
· Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): To help identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns.
· Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): To strengthen emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
· Mindfulness-Based Techniques: To cultivate present-moment awareness and reduce stress.
· Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): To support value-driven action and a more meaningful, fulfilling life.
· Motivational Interviewing: To enhance motivation and clarify goals for personal growth and change.

I do accept insurance. I am in-network with Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield Connecticut, Aetna, Cigna, Quest Behavioral Health, and Carelon Behavioral Health. I also see clients who would like to self-pay or use their out-of-network (OON) benefits. If you have OON benefits through your health insurance plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement of therapy fees. I can provide a superbill (a detailed invoice with diagnosis and service codes) for you to submit to your insurance company. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and will depend on your specific plan, so I encourage you to reach out to your insurance provider to learn more about your OON benefits.
